Still cant quite get my bike dialed in. I run fmf torques, cool head with 21cc domes, K&N clamp ons, carbon tech carbon fiber reeds, and spacers. Im running 35 pilots, and 360 mains. I raised the needle to see if it would smooth the power out. It felt real weak before I raised it. It sputters alot now that it has been raised. Most of my problems are from 1/4 to 3/4 throttle. Do I need to change the needles and do any of you recommend the Dynojet or K&N kits? Any advice would be appreciated. I wanna get this sucker done right so i can enjoy it. Thanks.

Fijit, I dont know about cal. riding either. Im not on the coast. I run 21 domes because i havnt had my crank done yet. I plan on it eventually, but as of yet, its not done. I like to do a bit of hill shooting, and they dont recommend 19's for that. I run at an altitude of 4500 above sea level. Thanks for your input though.

Dune Scooter

Have you tried calling FMF to see what they say? They should be able to get you started.. With my Paul Turner I run a 290 main in Las Vegas, my friend with the FMF woods runs a 310 his needle is in the stock location (2 slot) and the bike runs great. My needle is in the 4th slot. Just recently put in a dyno jet needle and was having a problem in the midrange. It wanted to die and not pull and was sputtering really bad I dropped the clip two slots and it cleared my problems up. Still trying to dial in the rest with the dyno kit. If I was you I would return the clip the the 2nd slot and lean out your main to around 300-320. Also your pilot seems to high to me. I would think around 27 would be right. I not a mechinic so I may be wrong all the way around but this is the step my frined with the woods runs... Hope I helped alittle.
