Ok mister Dominator. Are you going to tell me that you trail ride that lt500? My friend has a lt500 and he can't even keep up with me on my banshee (when it was stock) threw the trails and now it's alot of work done to it. No chance in hell. I will admite that the banshee isn't the best in the trails but it's by far not the worst like that lt500 that weighs almost double than a banshee. And that can't fit in the back of a truck because its to big and weighs a ton. So why don't you stay with the slow suzuki side of the web and stay off the yamaha. The reason the banshee rules is you can not bye a faster quad stock yet. If you know of any other quad that has better power to weight ratio let me know.

Other than dunes??
Jumping, adrenaline rush, pure acceleration.
TWO STROKE SNAP! ROOST KING! Shut up and hang on type of ride. Ya always have a smile when ya get off a Banshee. Ya Always have respect for the power band.
I to will admit a banshee is not the best for woods. You do have to fight with a banshee in technical trails.
I will also admit, ITS TIME FOR YAMAHA TO UPDATE OR DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT! The same quad for over 10 yrs...
Give us atv riders something new to drool over!

What can the Banshee do? - Gee, I guess it can do a heck of a lot of things. Two Banshees were in the top ten GNCC points standings (as per Dirt Wheels Feb. 99) last I read.
I don't remember seeing a clodzilla in there... not to mention the DS (oh, that's because hardly anyone owns one yet...)

I really hate ignorant banshee people. Yes the quadzilla is big, and it is terrible in the woods...Adleast the motor has bottom end power. (I really love the 125cc dirt bike style powerband of a banshee, I always have a smile after riding a banshee too. Because I dont own one) The quadzilla weights in at a huge 8lbs heavier than your banshee. (So much for your twice as heavy theory, think before you speak) The quadzilla has a bigger power to weight ratio. The quadzilla is the fastest most powerful quad ever offered to the public. Have any dowbt? Do you really think the 500CC 2 stroke puts out less than a banshee 350? All signs point to no. Dirt wheels already did this Banshee vs LT500..and the banshee lost.
Below are 2 bikes that beat banshees like there going out of style. (and they are)

The crank bearings wear out and lean out the A/F mixture and seize a piston. The other problem is the 87 head stud problem. I have never seen any throw a rod...or break the crank. Thats not a weak point, but the crank bearings are. They would seize a piston long before the crank would break....forcing you to replace the bushings with better ones that wont wear out.
