Im putting in a 28mm carb on my 1989 blaster. Should I continue to use the automatic oil injection or block it off and pre-mix myself?

Definatly
I run Yamalube R 40:1 in my wifes Blaster.
I put a Keihn PWK 28mm on hers with a reed spacer. Works great...

You have to block it off. The 28MM has no provision for the oil line to go into.

True the 28mm carb has no provision for the oil line . but you can port it to accomodate one if you so desire. Im thinking I will do without the pump and mix my fuel myself

You will lose some low/midrange and gain some top end power.
