Today, after riding my 98' Warrior in very cold weather, the ignition key tumbler stayed attached to the key, when the key was removed. I can remove the tumbler from the key, but I cannot reinsert the tumbler into the ignition. I don't think the cold weather contributed to this problem. My Yamaha dealer quoted a price of $60 for the ignition, plus labor. He stated that I would have to purchase the entire assembly and could not buy the tumbler alone. Any suggestions as to what I should do? Thank you in advance for your time and help.

John, I too am one of the few ATVers from RI. I was wondering where you go for your service and sales?

IF you store your quad inside and are not worried about theft.
I would say remove the key settup and put in a toggle switch in place of the key....

But you should be able to get a new ignition for less than $60

good luck
