Banshee overheats. Help!
#1
My friend has a stock 96 Banshee. The only modification he has made is Toomey Pipes and Pro-Design air filter.
After installing the pipes, he re-jetted it to 320's. He rides mostly at sea-level.
When we were riding last week, his Banshee began overheating everytime we drove around 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. This occurs mostly on flat, dirt roads when riding to/from the hills.
Could this be a Needle adjustment problem? He doesn't know if the needles were adjusted after the pipes were installed.
Does it sound like his needle position is running too lean?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

His banshee may be running a little lean. Banshee's do tend to run quite hot though. He could upgrade to a higher capacity radiator. i've heard of people having good luck with different water impellers for the pump. He could also get a cool head or an fmf 400cc kit. It even comes with a cooler running head and powervalves, but it is also pretty expensive. Hope he finds out the problem.
