Has anyone put 27" tires on the ultra kodiak or seen them on one. If so how do they handle and do they suck to much power from the bike.
If not what do you think these tire would work like on a y2k kodiak.
(thinking of putting 27" mud bug 27_10_12 on mine, I want to find out what there like before I spend the big bucks.
Also where is the cheapest place to get these tires.

Thanks All
Scott

Well now. Have you got a Warn Winch on the Quad. I say this because I do and it is close to touching the front right tire. As for sucking out power. You know it will have some kind of trade off. How bad? You let me Know.

Go to http://www.tiresunlimited.com/. They are pretty competitive. I have not purchased from them yet but plan on it. I want the 25 inch Kenda Bear Claws. I am trying to find out if the Bear Claws size runs the same as the Dunlops.

Yes I have the warn winch on the bike. Thanks I never thought of that. Might have to go with off set rims?
I would give up some power for the added tracktion but I would still like to be able to spin them up a little.

I have 27x12x12 rears & 27x9x12 fronts blackwater xt's on my Grizzly and let me tell you if your in some mud it takes alot of power to get those things spinning, and I seen those mud bugs they look alot more aggresive then the blackwaters, and being the owener of A '00 Kodiak as well I would not recommend those tires for that atv,but that is only my opinion,I would go for A smaller size.

i AGREE WITH GRIZKO. I HAVE 26" GOODYEAR MUDRUNNERS ON MY Y2KODIAK AND IT HAS TROUBLE TURNING THEM OVER IN THICK MUD, GOD FORBID YOU HAVE TO PUT IT IN REVERSE. I HAVE 26X9X12 ON THE FRONT WITH 26X12X12 ON THE REAR, AND AM CONSIDERING GOING WITH THE 9" ON THE REAR TO TURN MORE RPM'S. IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN MY 12" MUDRUNNERS LET ME KNOW
