I have a friend who just got a 2001 Mustang for her 16th birthday. Well a few days ago we took it out to where everyone races their cars and there was a Raptor out there wanting to race a car. So we raced the Mustang against the Raptor and the Raptor won! It was a quarter mile drag with perfect conditions on flat ground paved. Is this result consistent or was it a fluke cause the girl can't drive?? Oh, and by the way we were going to race againg but the cops busted everything.

 

i doubt it was a fluke..i have seen my buddys stock 400EX take his buddies 5.0 LX with tires and exhaust (maybe more).the quad just accelerates much faster than the car.

 

that was no fluke, i've raced a few cars w/ my raptor and they don't come close. i have a buddy that has a 5.0 mustang that runs well under 15's and i spanked him w/ my raptor, i have also raced a celica gts and that one wasn't even close!

 

16 years old with a 2001 Stang???? I'm 32 with a good job and dont have one of them!! Geeze my life sux, oh well at least I got the Raptor!

 

Guess that makes me "THE MAN", since I'm only 27 with 3 Mustangs and a Raptor. By the way, all 3 would crush my Raptor.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

im not saying i dont believe you guys b/c im sure in some cases quads could beat cars. But in a 1/4 mile a mustang GT can easily run low 15's, which is around 90 mph give or take. So to believe a quad can beat a mustang in a drag is a little hard for me to believe, but granted, maybe the driver of the mustangs are bad or maybe the mustangs were not trying hard/ not running right.

 

Actually, a 2001 Mustang GT easily runs 14.20's. I've seen stock ones in the 13.70 range with a good driver. The 99 and up are much faster than the 96-98 GT's. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
