What is the best Air Box Mod?
#1
I have read everything from boring a million small holes to boring a few large holes to cutting the back 1/3 off to using the small uni foam filters. I ride in a lot of dust and the ocassional mud hole. I want to do something to the airbox because I know that I am losing a lot of potential power, but I need to have some type of protection against the dust and water. I am currently running the K&N with outerwear. Thanks.

I made my own 3" uni-filter. I had thought about many small ones but the big one gets dirty real fast and cleaning 12 small ones would be a hassle for me. I just cut a piece of foam off my old Pooplaris foam filter and voila!

I put in 6 1" holes starting at the back, if I am in low altitude conditions, lots of wet or just troubleshooting I can ductape the holes. It just gives me more flexiblity than removing the back 1/3 which gives you the most boost
