This is a wierd clicking...it occured when I go downhill or slowing down by the engine...I dont think it's the engine because I did a test...I went down a steep hill and I tapped the brakes many of times...every time I did, the clicking would occur then go away when I released the brakes...I'm thinking the rear driveshaft is loose, it might be moving front to back a bit...can the driveshafts come loose??...It cant be the brakes because when I slow down by the Engine braking it does this noise sometimes.

Can you guess that noise??

Could it be the engine braking system??

It sort of sounds like ABS brakes when they pulse...but ATV's dont have that

I have a 2000 and it has done that from day one.Mine seems to do it when maybe you are getting just off the gas and maybe in rough stuff.I think it is in the engine braking system and I also think it is normal.I have had no problems with mine

It's probally the belt slapping something when you hit the rear brakes. I know it's a problem with the Prarie 650's. Nothing toi worry about though.
