Misleading Advertisment-Alba Action
#1
I called Alba Action about there ad for a Raptor with the extra goodies- pipe and jet kit, pro-flow, and graphics- all for Yamaha's MSRP for $6499. WOW, what a deal!! Not! I expected to pay shipping charges up to a couple hundred dollars and still be out ahead on savings but this was not to be true. After it is broken down to you, it ends up being $8100. Get this- $898 for the shipping charges from Japan and install of the pipe and jet kit. I didn't include the graphics because it has there name on it (free advertising). $45.00 paperwork- I can understand that one, $600 for shipping to your house(EastCoast). Little pricy!

I bought a 2001 Raptor from alba Action sports and had a great deal.
I bought a 2001 with a 12 front tooth installed blue in color with a
Supertrapp pipe, head and tail, pro flo kit, graphics, seat cover a
1010.00 value. (810.00 + 200.00 labor). I got it for 7591.00
Now my local Yamaha Dealer wanted to sell me one for 7300.00 in my
driveway. Stock. Now for the 250.00 more I got the pipe, jet kit and
graphics, which would of set me back about 800.00 plus labor. the way
I look at it is I paid 250.00 more gained 1010.00 so I made out with
860.00 profit. I payed them 300.00 to drive the quad to my house which
is 7 hours by car., plus 400.00 for the 4 year warranty. So that's
8291.00. My advice is to get the modified Raptor from Alba for 7591.00.
They were so good to me that I drove down there two weeks later and
bought +2+1 a arms, +3 inch Lonestar Excalibur axle, +2" swingarm,Elka
Triple shock with remote resevoirs, rerar shock revalved, Dg nerfs,
steel braided lines, trailtech speedometer/odometer, pep steering
stabilizer, Holeshots XC tires mounted on douglas 190 rims. I can truly
say that they are a one stop shop. I know have 12,700.00 invested
and my quad handles and performs like no other. I am very pleased with
Alba. I have a Totally modified Alba Raptor. Send me for pics' if you
want.

just a thought, east coast atv is alot closer than japan, that may be why it's almost 300 dollars cheaper, I imagine it's not cheap shipping it over here for them, after the insurance on shipping and all. Their price in their ad didnt say it was the final price did it? Also when quads are advertised for local dealerships, they dont include tax and all appling charges, they may not add up to almost 900 dollars but, you see the resemblance.
