lonestar axle
#1
I bent my stock axle(suprise, suprise)on my Raptor so I ordered a lonestar axle. It came today and I went and put it on. When I was finished I measured from the center of the swingarm to the end of each side. It is like a half an inch longer on the right side. Anybody ever hear of this? Any help would be greatly appreciated......

I also called Lonestar and told them what was going on and they told me that it is an offcenter axle, b/c the swingarm isnt centered. he said it was to match the front and rear end. I never heard of this before. If someone else hase a lonestar axle if possible could you measure from the center of u'r swingarm to the end of u'r alxe to see if they are equal or left side longer by like 1/2 inch. Thanks!!

I have yet to install my LSR axle..its been sitting in the box for like 4 months. Is it hard to install? I tried to losen the nuts with a BIG pipe wrench. BUt which direction do you turn the wrench? up or down? Also does the axle slide in and out nicely or do you have to slap the Hell out of it like my old 250r? I picked up a locking nut from lonestar so i can drop the old double nut thing....now if i could just get it off...... HELP!!!!!

This sounds like the original issue where some dealers are selling axles for the Raptor that were designed for the Banshee. Supposedly, they are the same, except that the Banshee axle is offset to one side about 1/2 or 5/8 of an inch. Look back through the forum here to get more info about this. I assume that you mean one rear wheel sticks out about 1/2 an inch more than the other.
Good luck,

I had the same question after installing my Lonestar about 9 months ago. The right side sticks out 1/2" further than the left when measured from the center of the swingarm. I never measured the stock axle, so I have no idea if the "offset swingarm" is true or not. I find it hard to believe, though. I called Lonestar and they said that if I have an axle number beginning with "LS-Y3" or "LS-Y4", then the axle is meant for the Raptor and not the Banshee. Mine's a "Y4".

RaptorRidingOut,
Not to hurt your feelings about the quality of the lonestar axle, but between me and my little brother, we broke 3, and bent two more just this year. He rides an EX, and I a raptor. The dominators are much better in quality, as is evident by the riders that use them. Don't believe everything you here. I've know more than one rider getting some $ from LSR and durablue, that put those stickers on a dominator. Actually, I have never been able to damage a dom. However, until RPM releases them, I think we are stuck.
Just my 2 cents
