The inside side wall of the rear tire on my Raptor took a hit from a sharp rock. It butterflyed/fillet it a little. I can peel it back and it is cut in about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch in depth. The tire didn't blow and is still holding air. Is there a way to repair this without getting a new tire? Can it be glued together? What about adding a patch to the inside for extra strength?

Also one on my rear rims is bent and has been for some time. Will this cause damage to the axel/axel bearings? I'm trying to hold off until after Christmas to get new tires an wheels. Stocks are 20x10x9. Most aftermarket are 20x11x9, is that a good size to replace with? Should make the rear 2" wider than stock plus I was considering some Douglas offset rims.

 

I would just use some of the glue that comes with a tire plug kit....And let it set up over night. As you mentioned...Of course it would help if you put a patch on the inside of the tire also. That is if your comfortable with getting the tire off the rim.

If it does rip through..you can always put a tube in the tire for the short term.

 

Try and find a truck tire repair place, that does vulcanizing..
I had the same thing happen to my front tire except it went clean through
I took it to this truck tire repair place and they vulcanized it..
Its like the added a cross section of the tire and melted it on..
only 20.00...better that 65.00
