2002 banshee
#1
I have a 2002 banshee and i want to put the best pipe and i think that the toomeys are the best so i have been reading about them and on the toomey site it says that you get the perfect jet kit and it says to run 280 mains and 4 groove on neadle and 25 pilits.I am also going to put a k&n air filter and outer were on it with out the snorkle. I was woundering what I should run for pilots and mains and were the cilp should be at and what i should have the air screws at. I am at 1100 ft elevation and 60 and 70 degrees when i will be riding the most. so can you guys give me some good info on this and if i should go with this pipe or a different pipe and what i should have my carbs set at on everything.please help because now one else will thanks guys.

I have done the exact thing you are talkng about I put on the toomeys and jetted it to th especs you mentioned, 280 mains, etc. then put on pro design adapter with a K&N, outerwear an no lid. I was questioning if i should bump up at least one on the main jet, so i called toomey to get some advice and thelady said that i would actually be running a bit fat with the the k&n setup. i ignored her advice, which i must say is not the first time i have gotten strange advice from toomey, and stayed with the initial setup of 280 mains, needle and stock pilot and tje banshee hasnt' missed a beat yet. I think at most i would bump up to a 290 main, but i don't seem to need it so i haven't messed with it. Just for info i ride at 1100 feet and temps ranging from 20 deg to 110 deg.
The toomey set up is so easy. I have done several installations and they are cake and spot on everytime. imo toomy are the best overall in the market.

Yes you should get 30 pilots and you are obviously looking for mid to top end pipes so you should go for some CPI inframe pipes. The Toomey pipes are pretty good but the CPIs are more powerfull from bottom to top than the Toomeys and if in the future you plan on getting your cylinders ported or going for a big bore the CPIs will outperform the Toomeys even more.If you want to take a look at them: www.cpiracing.com
