well i really want to wait and see if yamaha is going to ever make a yzf426 quad. i road a yzf426 motocross bike and OH MAN DID THAT THING GO!! I think that motor in a quad like a raptor or a 400ex would be awsome. but i never rode a raptor so how do they go? how good are raptors on a MX track compared to a 400ex? my buddys have 400exs and warriors and blaster and atvs like that i have a warrior but i want to up grade so which one do you think a 400ex or a raptor?

 

I own both. I race my Raptor. Nothing handles like a Honda period! You can make the 400 faster. A 440 will not beat a Raptor on the start period........My experience anyway. The Honda is an easier machine to handle. It takes more muscle to move the Dinosaur around on the track. Raptors suck in the whoops. They are decent jumpers. If you want to spend the coin on zero preload shocks and a lowering kit the Raptor would be alot better on the track. Better then the 400, maybe and maybe not. I ride dunes and you can't have zero preload shocks when you hit the bottom of bowls or you will bust you ankles or wrists so I have no experience w/ them. So do you spend money on a 440 kit and porting, cam, valves, ect. Do you spend the coin on top grade legs and lowering for the Dinosaur. It's a choice you must decide. Good luck..

 

No they are probably not for a few more years. Yes get the raptor.I know everyone will tell you honda handles the best but the diffrence is almost unnoticeable. Plus get some hours on a raptor and go ride a 400ex and it will feel like the honda isnt handeling very well. its mostly getting used to the machine.
