Warrior or Banshee?

When I was looking, this was said to me. Good advise so i will pass it on.
"If your a speed sick, go fast rip everything else, love that jerk your arms off power. With little of the "other" things (I.E. suspension, slow trials) get the shee everything else is just something to base line off of"
Take it for what it's worth banshees are for sick speed wierd-o's. Warriors are for trail riding fun having no worries type.....
Thought I would pass that on

I have had 3 Warriors and they seem impossible to break them, the most reliable quad ever made I think. They are perfect for riding gas lines and power lines. The 400ex is stronger and has better suspension, if you don't mind putting the bulldog on it to turn it around when you have to get out of a tight spot, the 400ex is the better choice over the warrior for trail riding. The Banshee was the best 2-stroke bike I have ever owned besides my IT490 and when I say best I mean the reliablity of the machine. If fast trails and dirt roads are your thing , I think the Banshee is the right machine. The Raptor will do all of these things, somethings better somethings worst. I would put the Raptor in the all around class. It just depends on what you do more of. Good luck on the new quad.

I have both in my garage too. The warrior is much better in the winter and works great on trails. Speed is OK too. The banshee is a screamer and needs some space to run. The banshee is VERY easy to modify and the possible mods are endless and easily avaiable. I have 3 banshees now for a reason. The messing with timing chains and valves is too much work. What kind of riding you do will dictate which machine.

Like Holyman, I have both. The Warrior is a very good trail machine but really that's about it. Its reliable and reasonably fast but...
The Banshee is a MUCH more powerful machine and if you are really worried about torque for trail riding then just gear it a little lower and put some low end pipes on it. Even set-up for torque over speed it will still kill a Warrior in every performance category but...
The Warrior is a 4 stroke and will get better gas mileage and it is a very comfortable ride in the rough/rocky stuff. It can crawl around much better than a Banshee and wont overheat if you go too slow too long but...
The Banshee will get you up a lot steeper and longer hills than a Warrior and no, they don't foul plugs. I never fouled a plug, ever.
Honestly, get a Banshee and you'll never look back. If you get a Warrior you'll always kick yourself for not having enough power.

Thanks everybody. I've basically decided that I'm gonna look for a decent used Banshee, and just go with some low end pipes and maybe some different gearing.
ltracerx, you're correct, I don't have the money for a new Z400... I'm only a kid, after all.
Holyman, at the time that I buy this ATV, I will already have 2 snowmobiles and an Xplorer400. Maine winters see far too much snow to ride anything by a 4x4 or snowmobile in. I'd be stuck in no time with either one.
WyoDuner, gas mileage? Pfft, minor detail. And overheating I can deal with. When I ride with my friends, we often stop for a quick break after more technical sections, not so much to let our ATVs cool down, but just to talk, or whatever. But, if she warms up too much from going slow, I wouldn't mind having to pause and enjoy the scenery and the companionship.
Thanks for the advice, everybody. I'd say it's probably a Banshee for me...
