Just curious who is using these nerf's with success? I have a new set sitting in the garage that I installed and removed. There were a couple of problems. First when installed my billet brake lever hits the nerfs and basically engages the rear brake even with the lever adjusted all the way down. I don't think it will work even if I hack up the pro-peg's, I might be able to slot the mounting holes that bolt the peg to the frame. And lastly what F*!@ing good are these when you only have two straps left to right for protection? There is absolutely no straps below the shifter or brake lever and plenty of room for your boot to slide through! I thought AC racing was the best?

I bought the DG Nerfs. They're a nice piece. Installation was easy, it attaches to the back of the foot pegs and gives plenty of room for footwork. Above all, there is plenty of webbing to catch a stray foot.

"I removed the bottom 20% of the tube just enough to clear the brake lever"

Just curious if this was the tube that comes from the mounting plate(the real support) or did you just cut the actual bottom side of the "Pro-Peg" that slips over the mounting tube? Thanks.

Just thought you guys would like to know. I just got off the phone with AC Racing and talked to them about the problem. They said they redesigned the mounts for more clearance, they are sending me a new set of mounts. SWEET.

Good, problem solved. I had a similar thing happen to me when I installed a superwench on my Scrambler 4x4. There was an update that my unit didn't have and there wasn't any information about it. The only way I knew about it was from reading one of the test articals that this site puts out.
