which one would you rather own and which one runs better a 400ex or a Raptor? I bought the Raptor for more power the 400ex runs fine I rode one for most of last summer?

I own both a raptor and 400ex. My wife is the primary rider of the 400. Both have their drawbacks. You have to decide what type of riding you like the most. Tight trails or more open trails/sand dunes. We do both. We spent money on motor mods to the 400 to improve the wimpy stock performance. Just a few mods needed to wake it up. We spend money on the suspension, a-arms and swingarm for the 660 to make it handle. Either way both machines work well. Well except for this tranny goof.

 

Are you sure that it's your tranny slipping? My best friend is having a problem with his, not too bad yet, but I've heard a lot of things about the clutchs not being stronge enough for hard racing, and that your clutch might wear out faster than it should.

 

This may be a dumb question, but have adjusted your clutch lever?

Reason: My friend (new to ATVs) was worried because he said his clutch was slipping. I tried it out and it sure was...until I twisted the clutch lever adjuster. Rookie mistake.
