Flipped rear linkage, lowers the rear of your quad 1-2". I love the Elka's, it’s a total different machine through the rough stuff and handles much better because it lowers the front end and essentially makes the wheelbase wider. Also no more bottoming out on the big jumps or super rough terrain.

Who out there has rode at the Badlands. I was thinking of heading there right after summer is over. Is there alot of riding to do or do you cover everything in 1 day? What kind of riding do they have to offer? Is it worth a 15 hour trip from New Jersey for a couple of days of riding?

I drive about 2 hours, its worth 2 hours, maybe even 4 or 5, not 15 though. I have been about 4 times and would say i have only covered about 1/4 of it. Most of the time we take the trails we took the first time, just because we still like them that much. Im sure we would like the other ones too if we would ever get to them. It has everything, sand, mud, hills, trails. I like the big bowl right to the left when you are driving in. If you have ever watched skaters of bikers doing a half pipe it is just like that except completely enclosed. Its fun building up some speed and jumping off the top, flying 30-40 feet out and then a soft landing cause it is all down hill.

We normally ride there about 5 or 6 times a year. Only because I live about an hour from there and most of my buddies live closer than that. I could really careless to ever go back again. Once you've been up one or two sand hills it all seems the same to me. That's what most of it is, is sand. Unless you go when it's a busy weekend and you can watch all the crazy people get hurt. Last time I was there this year I saw a kid go flyin over a hill and hit a Ford Bronco head on, they took him out by ambulance, he was messed up bad. At the Badlands there's not very much wood's/trail riding to do. The trail's that used to be cool most are now impassable because they started letting trucks and jeeps in to. We tried out Haspin Acres a couple of months ago and we liked it alot better. It has all kinds of wood's/trail riding. We never covered it all in one day. They have shower's and they'll let you camp anywhere you want included in the admission price and they will also let you ride at night time. But wherever you go have a safe and good trip.

and also make sure you have a flag on your atv or money to buy one there, they enforce it strictly.

email me at KramerMD@notes.UDayton.edu and I can send you a couple maps if you like. Haspin is in mid-south east Indiana, it is about 700 acres of private property, costs about $10 bucks, I think they raised it though, only 2 bucks I think. The place is all trailed out, they have 2 MX tracks, one large and a small track, an 1/8 mile drag strip, 2 ponds, u can camp anywhere, not many rules enforced, its run by rednecks, dont mean to affend anyone. there are alot of hills, woods, some rocky parts, fast parts. I have been there many many times, being about an hour away, Im from Cincinnati, if you even make it down this far I would even be glad to meet up and show u around the place. depending on what day, u could be the only one there or be a full house, which it gets the busiest on Sundays. well enough typing, u have any Q's I would be glad to answer if I can.
