For a opinion on Dunlops check the Kawi site. Everyone that has a 650 is dumping their Dunlops. The worst tire I have had the misfortune to run on a quad. I was told by a Cat factory rep that the reason that cat is switching some models to Dunlop from Titan is that the price of titan tires is getting a little too much. That was right from the source. I personally like Titan, but I too have noticed how costly their getting. I'm leaning towards the Dirt Devils myself.

Dunflats, I guess that says it all. I bought a new 01 Wolverine in October. Great machine except for the tires. I went riding 3 Saturdays in a row and had four flat tires. I was really mad so I ordered new Titan 489 XT's with rims from Rocky Mountain ATV. Put on over 150 miles of the 200 total I have on my Wolverine and have not had a problem since. I really like the 6 ply strength that I have now.

I would never buy a tire again that is not a least 4 ply but I think I will stick with the 6 ply. Might be overkill but I like riding not walking and patching. Good luck!!!!!

I'm sure Dunlops are ok but where I ride you need 4 ply or it is only a matter of time to you have a flat tire.

you can't really copmare the stock tires. they seem crappy because they are. Unless they make a point about stock tire like the sp700 than you got to expect it. but yes yamaha does have just about the worst stocks i have ever seen. i suggest the first thing you do is get another set when you get a yamaha.

hey crazycat'
i just bought the titan 589 mt, on aluminum rims. i wasgoing to buy the goodyear mudrunners, but the man there told me to try the titans. he said for the money, they were just as good, and i thought he gave me a fair price for the tires mounted on the rims. i am getting them today, coming ups. when i get them mounted, i will let you know how i like them., as for the stockers, i think there great in real dry conditions, on hard pack with little or no rocks. now, if only such a place existed in the real world, then you wouldn't have to buy new ones, lol. i will be placing some pics of mine as soon as i get them mounted, so look for the pics in the next couple of days.

Got a 2001 kodiak in dec. last year,in june the Dunlops were worn out,and was all ways in need of air.It never left the yard,i did some spining in the snow and that was all i did.just bought 489's for it in same size as stock tires.
If any one is going to buy a new machane with Dunlops on it DON'T take it till you get dealer to put on other tires.

They are reliable tires despite the 2 ply but have poor traction.

wyd said it - Dunflats, they are terrible. Except for trails, sand, and hardpack. They have no traction, dont clean in mud, and dont hold air. I took mine off and put on 27 vampires.
