I just bought a Yamaha Banshee 1987 needs all new plastic but its got full port and polish, toomey full exhaust, boyeson reeds, cool head, k&n,flat slide carbs, skat-trak haulers on alluminum wheels, fast trekkers and alluminum wheels. Its arm ripping fast for 2600. Well my question is it really doesn't get up and go with out dumping the clutch or downshifting like in first. It just seems like it kind of hesitates. How and why does it do that and how do i fix it. What other good mods would you tell me to purchase. I would gladly appreciate it for serious replys.

Well I'm no expert, But first of all the toomey's are great pipes but don't have much bottom end. Also your jetting on your Carbs is probably off or maybe your needle position is off.Another thing you can do is a compression check(it all starts their). Any good dealer should be able to do this for you.Good luck!
