I hear a lot of talk about Steering Stabilizers. Do they make that much difference?? Also, what brand/price is good for a 2002 Raptor??

Any input would be appreaciated.

Steering stabilizers make a world of difference. I have the re-buildable denton model on my warrior and my step-dad has the same one on his raptor. This costs about $154 from the quad shop. You won't be disappointed if you buy one.

Re-buildable Denton on mine also. I paid $160 plus shipping direct from Denton. It has a wide range of adjustment and really helps with arm pump. The re-buildable one is also called the "billet" model.

does the denton come close to the head pipe or any other part of the quad that is a concern. i've heard that this can be a issue when purchasing a stablizer. i am also looking to put one on my raptor. does the denton have different settings ?

There are seven settings giving a wide range from way tight to almost none, choosen by turning the rod, which sticks out the front behind the bumper. As far as mounting it, it is TIGHT. I mounted it, snugged everything and turned lock to lock, making adjustments until everything cleared. Then I wrenched it tight. My quad has the stock headpipe by the way. The build quality on this thing is awesome.

I run a trick Graydon Proline... besides cool billet looks it is totally rebuildable and it is adjustable. I am not sure of the differences between it and the Denton, but it is worth looking at. It keeps things real calm at high speeds.
