Just got the pricing back from the dealer I buy my parts from in Mississippi, and the grand total for the parts Mickey listed is $291.14

They also said they are available now...

Mickey,

I much would you charge on labor for installing the components you listed?

Thanks,

With any 660 Yamaha motor, Grizzly or Raptor, that has more than 10 hours on it the intake valves will have started to "tulip" at the 45 degree angle. This is caused by too low seat pressure on the valve springs. For us to do the motor complete here with gaskets, new rings, hone the cylinder, 5-valve job, 3 intake valves, heavy duty valve springs and all the gear box mods it will be right at $995. For another $150 you can add a high compression piston. That way if you ever want to put a cam in it the valve springs and piston are already in there and you can just pop the top cover and install the cam.

Mickey...I haven't heard of any inherant problem with the valves on the Raptor. Is this a common thing? What are the symptoms? How well does this motor age? Also...what kind of turn-around time is a person looking at just for the cylinder & head modifications? (No bottom end work) I'd like to know a price on honing, porting the head, mid-range cam, & hi-compression 11:1 piston, parts sent to you loose. Thanks.

Mickey,

If the factory valve spring pressure is being set to low(on the 660 motors), what's your recommendation for pressure on stock spring valves and heavy duty spring valves.

Thanks

Mickey,

I have a almost brand new 02 Raptor. Would it be possible to just upgrade the springs since mine is new yet or would i have to have the new valves put in also? With the heavier Valve springs, would that require hardened rockers? If i am going to take it apart i would want to upgrade to a high comp piston and mid range cam. How much would it be for the springs, cam, piston and a gasket set? Also in 11:1 pistons what sizes do you have available? Could i use a stock size piston or would i have to run an oversized? Thanks for the help

I do not give turn around times any more.Valve springs $100,11:1 piston $185,cam $250[exchange].Port&Flow work $350 but I do not know when I could get to it.My cams need more seat pressure than other after market companys and I have not had any rocker problems in over a year of runing this set up.With this kind of power you will also need HD clutch springs for$20.
