I recantly blew up my balster the piston flew apart the local yamaha dealer charges $600 to rebuild it without parts so i went and bought the parts piston rings bored .020 over and i wondered if i could tip the engine up side down and put a piece of chain around the sprocket and turn the engine ovwr and spray wd40 into the case and clean good enough that way also the stock pipe has a rattle in it and its something big enough so it wont come out is it alright to keep using that pipe

Don't use WD-40 to clean your lower rod journal area. Most of the lubricants have chemicals that cause rubber to swell and distort,..The last thingyou want for your crank seals.

It's ok to turn the engine upside down to clean it though. Take some gas that is mixed with oil and put it into a spray bottle and spray it into the area as you slowly turn the crank.

If you have any chunks of metal in there, I would recommend that you split the case and remove it. Turning the crank with metal pieces churning in there will only cause you more trouble after you get it back together.

This is probally why your dealer's price on the labor was so high, because it is best to be safe and broke....than to be broke and broke.
