Just purchased a new 2001 Wolv tonight. Have a 99 but wanted to update for various reasons.

Anyway, just thought I'd share a bit of info that the salesman said. Apparently, Yamaha is working on offering an engageable driveshaft for the wolverine. He says that it would be an option and he's not sure what to expect if anything for 2003. But he especially would like to see an upgrade as he is a heavily modified Wolv owner now.

Anyway,

Just F.Y.I.

I seen they are taking orders but didn't see anything on the Wolverine version at this time. I hear they are working on one but at this time is not listed.

Air,
It's possible that the detroit is what he was talking about, who knows. It will definately be a welcome addition though, if it is a stock option or not. I would like to see more cc's as well as selectable 4x4 and even a 6th gear. But then again, who wouldn't.

Only Yammy knows..

Thanks for the update.

I emailed highlifter a few weeks ago & they said they would have one availible for the wolverine in about a month or two. Wish theyd hurry up. A 500cc wolverine with 6 gears & selectable 2 & 4 wheel drive would be great. Hell even 400cc would be nice with alittle bit more shock travel. I'd definatley trade in my 02 for one & take all the parts off my current one & add to new & inproved version.
