I just put in a vitos 5+ piston kit and my blaster just bogs and wont rev out. But if I take off the air filter it runs better but still bogs a little. Its probebly jetting but I'm not shore. Please help!!

Oh I have a pc pipe and Im running a 280 main.
even though when it bogs just clutch it and the band kicks in HANG ON!! I cant wait to get it running right it rips know somewhat.

If you pull off your air filter, you are increasing air flow correct? If your engine runs better with increased air flow, then your carb is jetted to rich or your air filter is just really dirty. Deductive reasoning.

 

I have the exact same problem! Same pipe and I got a uni and Boyesen reeds. Before this pistton I had tons of low end power. It was fun! Since I have the Vito it just bogs till it hits on top end. I was at 260 main jet before so I decided to try a 300. Its way to rich so I tried a 290 with the needle at its leanest and I still dont have my old low end power. I emailed Vito and I'll see what he tels me.
