Warrior airbox lid question.......
#1
I have 2002 Warrior with the mods shown below.
Currently I'm running a 150 main jet with the stock airbox setup.
Will it run better with the airbox lid off?
I've also heard of drilling holes in the lid too.
I ride in sand and other dusty conditions most of the time, so the quad does get dirty.
So what you think?
Lid on or off?

I used those Uni filters in my airbox lid also. I hardly knew that I modified the airbox lid at all. Once I ran my quad without the airbox lid, I was hooked. That makes a big difference. I run in exremely dusty conditions also and have never had a problem. I am running the K&N air filter but I have an Outerwears filter cover that stops almost all the dust and water splashes. Every time I take the air filter out to clean it, the intake to the carb is always black with no dust in it. That shows the filter and the cover are doing their job. I made 2 strips out of 1/8" thick plastic about 1" wide and just long enough to reach across the airbox. I drilled holes in the ends to mount them to the airbox. One runs across the front of the air filter and the other runs across the back. That is what I use to hold the air filter in place. As long as you have the clamp on Pro Flow kit you won't have to worry about that though. Go for the Dynojet carb kit too.

when i modified my worrior, i cut a hole in the airbox too. i was a world of differance once done. i never had a problem with it, other than constantly cleaning the filter.
