I'm planning on purchasing a 2002 Grizzly and was wondering if the people who had a diferential noise and who had the bearings replaced, if the noise went away? The 4 dealers in this area have said they haven't heard of this problem. Also does anyone know if this problem or the circlip problem has been fixed at the factory, or are they fixing them as they pop up?

Flipper~

Never had the front end noise problem. The circlip issue I'm sure is being addressed at the factory. For now, though, the dealers are taking care of it and Yamaha is fully aware of the circlip issue.

i thought i remembered reading in dirt wheels that they thought this noise was normal. It was published as soon as the grizz came out, maybe they were wrong.

When i first got my grizzly it had a bit of a grinding noise in the front end but the dealer said not to worry about it and that it should go a way and it did. Its been fine ever since but still dont know why it was making the noise.

The problem is with a defective bearing in the front diff. The bearings were on backorder for quite some time, but I've heard that they are back in stock.
