I'm going to be re-jetting my Stock Raptor this weekend. I'm using a K&N Power kit. I have the stock exhaust (for now). What would the benefit be for me to use the 25 pilot jets? I've heard people say they help, but what exactly will they help?

Are the DynoJet instructions pretty close on the jetting? I'm going to install a K&N filter, jet kit, and 4 filtered airbox vents.

Thanks

On thier web site (dynojet.com) they say if you need to replace your pilot jet there is something else wrong. They do not recomend changing the pilot jet even with a pipe change. Thier recomendations are usually right on but call them with your specific info. This info is part of what your paying for with the kit so pick thier brains any time you change something.

I cant speak enough of Dynojet. I called them twice when I was puzzeled and felt like they talked to you, not down to you. Once I called Manny answered and I explained my sons 250ex was jetted exactly per instructions and still was cutting out low end, no prob he says , "I have heard that before, lemme send you a new needle and send the other back AFTER your sure the problem is fixxed" no BS, 2 days later it showed up via UPS. Had a question on drilling my wolerine slide, same thing no prob.

If you have no idle circuit problem....ie backfiring, hesitation, erratic idle and just off idle problems, then the stock pilot is fine with your ride. Since, you will be inside the carbs anyway, a little preventative maintenance with larger pilots can't be a bad decision.
My Raptor blew the carbs off until I wound up with 27.5 pilots and properly tuned mixture screw setings.

I put the #25's in mine at the same time as the Dynojet kit. Glad I did, the stock #22.5's are just too damn lean! Take everyone's work for it.
