Which Utility ATV???
#1
If you could buy "any" top end, big bore utility atv, without consideration for price, which one would you get? Granted the Prarie has an advantage in the performance department, but without that performance advantage, which one?
I'm interested in using it for snow plowing, hunting, and an occasional trail cruise. My 400SS and SP500 are now both up for sale and I'm looking to get a new fat utility ride that is dependable. I don't want to spend a zillion $$$$ modifying, adding tires, wheels, clutch kits, pipes, etc. I want something off the floor that looks good, handles and rides nice and does the job. Snow plowing is of prime importance. In fact, I'm probably going to have to do something about eliminating the reverse rev limiter in any machine, since it is a real drawback to plowing.
I'm considering: Honda Rubicon, Polaris SP700, Grizz 660, Prarie 650, and the Quest 650.
Thoughts . . .

Buy a Cat! Just kidding, go try all of them out and see what one feels the best. I've gone to look at them all and got to say any of them is a great choice. I have ridden a Kawi 650 and was blown away by the power, although it lacks IRS. Have fun shopping!
Oh yea, hope you guys don't care I jumped in.

You can't go wrong with any of them in my opinion. Just depends on what you want and like. If i HAD to choose I would go between the Grizz 660, Polaris 700 the Kawi 650 and the Rubicon. Then I would decide if I wanted IRS or solid rear axle.....if IRS then the Polaris......more power, and they have perfected the irs....BUT YAMAHA's is also good. Just go with the experience there and the V-Twin torque. Then if I was going with a Solid axle quad.....I own a Rubicon, but if the Kawi would have been out......I'd a bought it. So now between the Kawi and Polais......I'd go with Kawasaki....The engine and the quad are one of the best that have been introduced in a LONG time.. I love that quad.
BUT THIS IS MY OPINION.......I suggest ride them all and find out which one YOU like the best...THEN YOU HAVE THE BEST QUAD.
Good luck

i would go with the grizzly. i plow with mine all winter long, and it will push snow without even working at it. it trail rides great, as smooth as i have ever seen, including my friends sportsman 500. it has all the power anyone could want, and can keep real close to the prarie, and out run it at top speed. it can powerslide in the corners due to its light weight, and can even wheely if you sit back on the seat. mine has been flawless, and has gone well beond what i expected of it. it is truly one great quad!!!
