Does anyone know what size, use, or have advice on clamp on K&N filters. I want to put them right on the carbs but don't want to get the wrong ones.

I've been thinking of doing this too. Does this mean that you really can't ride in any water if you do this? I'm concerned that a splash will drench the filter.

You can get water proof outerwares but I wouldn't chance it.

You can't put filters directly on the carbs. I had two pair of K&N individual filters off of my 86 GSXR1100 that have been laying around since then. They fit perfectly on the carb, but you can't get the second one on. It pushes the first one off, because the frames of the filters rub. I tried everything to make it work and couldn't. If you could get an extension of just two inches for one of the carbs it would work great.........

Thanks, what do you think if I got one or both of the filters with an angled neck? You can get them in 10, 35 , and 45 degree angles. Also what size filters do you have?
How do you like the flipped rims? Do you have tie rod problems like me? How did you tell them to valve your shocks?
Sorry for all the questions but I can't find help any where else!

I don't know if your idea will work or not. I don't remeber what size the K&N's were. It was a long time ago. My wheels are fine. I ride dunes and it's an awsome set-up. You get alot of bump steer on the track. My shocks were set up for my brother of 220 and I bought them and I weigh 180. Only rode once so far w/ them. Been to dam cold here in Utah.

I ride the dunes as much as I can but I am kind of limited. Your right about the set up it works real well. I should be getting a steering stabilizer shortly. I have had a bunch of problems with my tie rods breaking and bending. I thought it might be do to the rims being flipped. I am considering using 400ex ends and making some stainless rods, if it will work. I bought some preowned, not used much at all, Axis shocks and they seem to soft. I didn't know if I should send them off and get them revalved or not. The man I got them from said that they are set up for my weight on +2" arms so it is about the same. Sorry it is so cold it is hot as heck down here today.
The south sucks, I wanna go WEST!

Make a phone call to K&N about ones custom made for the Raptor. They already have them for other models. If they don't already have them, ask if they are planning to release any.

Thanks KNOWSALOT I ordered them yesterday. I went with what I hope will work, two 5" with 17.2 degree angled neck. I think with them both being angled I can get them twisted in there. I also ordered some Lazer Stars to replace my factory ones.
