Its funny everyone else here knows that it is true and have seen it but you say We are green with envy? Who wants a slower machine? If that was the case I woundnt have got rid of the Warrior!

 

funny i came across this thread. just today i met two guys while riding. one with a ds and one with a raptor. bone stock except pipes. raptor w/a gyt-r and i don't remember the other. raptor beat him all day long. neither would race me. guess that proves ds owners aren't stupid. don't hate the player, hate the game.

 

Really it mostly depends on whos riding because the start and when you shift is was makes the difference. You can NEVER post DS vs Raptor and not get some controversy. Go figure.

Just bite the bullet & buy new tires. They are worth every penny. When my DS was stock & I raced Raptors I couldn't catch them until my 4th gear because of my tires. In fact even a 400EX would beat me until my 3rd/4th gear. Now it's wheels up [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

As far as anyone saying stock vs stock either the DS or Raptor blowing the other one away won't happen. It's always close.

Ill race any ds 650,shee no madder what mods you have for all the money in the world!!!!!!!!!!! but only in reverse..hahaha But for real Ive raced a ds 650 at the dunes in SC and I beat him on sand,dirt and assphault thats when my lizard was stock and he owned a shee before he got the bomb so I know he can ride...just my 2cent!!!!!!!!!

To my Bombardier-brothers: Can't you people read English? Down here everybody says the Raptor is faster/better ;-)! I was just having a bad day!

 

I have an 02 raptor and my neighbor has a ds and i wail on it at our track, drag, wheelies...anyhting. the raptor is so much better than the ds. the ds does have great jumping suspension but not real good air manners its to heavy.
