I got my 02 Raptor dyno tested today at Hogans dyno shop in Tulsa,OK. It's an automotive Dynojet dyno. I was the 2nd quad he had done.here are the results.Time 1330hrs to 1600hrs, temp 62, humidity 30 percent. Stock engine 02 Raptor, Sparks X6 pipe with stainless headpipe, Pro Flow adaptor with foam filter, 148/150 Dynojets, trimmed snorkel, properly adjusted valves, new stock spark plug & running 89 octane pump gas.All pulls were calibrated to SAE specs. Standard specs would show a little more HP.The first pull was with the airbox lid on, 40.0 HP & too rich as expected. The 2nd pull was without the airbox lid, 41.5 HP & a little lean. The 3rd pull was with the lid on & 5 1" Uni vents installed, 41.3 HP & just slightly rich which is where I wanted it. The pulls were recorded from 4600 rpm to 7800 rpm which is where the HP had already started to fall off.On the 1st & 3rd pulls the curve was very flat & smooth. On the 2nd pull (without the airbox lid) the curve was still flat but very irregular it had more peaks & valleys than a roller coaster. This was from the turbulent air flow in the airbox. He said I should drop down to 146/148 in the heat of the summer to keep from being overly rich.I'm a little disapointed with the final numbers but the mods really woke up my Raptor so I'm happy.I don't know if the HP numbers would be diffrent on an atv dyno but the nearest one was 150 miles away & I got a good deal on using this one.

According to Dirtwheels pipe shootout the Sparks pipe got 44.6hp at 7100 rpm. jets 146/148 with trimmed snorkel. You weren't far off.

Like I said I was a bit dissapointed but I wasn't jetted for the highest HP possible. Mabey an atv dyno would be more sinsitive at lower HP numbers than an automotive dyno.

i agree with syko. that's noticeable for "low horsepower" machines. if you were putting out 300hp then no big deal. but on that same idea, an automotive dyno would logically seem to more accurate for higher horsepower. for all i know there might not be any difference for car or atv. but hey, atleast you did make a difference. what did it cost you?

How far is Tulsa from OKC? BiggerisBetter I think that it is about 70 min from Elk city. Why dont you go get some dyno runs.

Tulsa is about 2.5 hours for me but if its cheap enough I'll drive it and have it done. Hey, MOOSE can you give me his phone #, and I'll try to get it set up. Then everyone will know what a DS650, with K&N carb mount filter, 195 main jet,and modified endcap will do.

Is it true that you pull in 4th gear?

Biggerisbetter.

biggerisbetter; I need to ask his permission to post his info. If it's ok with him I'll post it this evening.RichieRoadRash; He charged me $40 but I did no jetting changes just quick small changes, if you need to rejet or make a lot of changes that take more time it will cost more. I had all my plasitc already off so if I did need to jet it would be quicker. I took my own tool box & everything I needed so he wouldn't have to hunt tools for me. the less time it takes & the easyier you make it on them the less it will cost.

Hurycne-Check out this one in Lewisville. They did a Sat. run last month for Powerstrokes and Cummins clubs and charged $45 for 3 runs. They have another coming up on March 16. Let me know. I wanted to come home and get my Raptor that day but they were booked up for the day.
