Lectron or FTZ carbs?
#1
Currently I am running the stock carbs, but I have a port job, cool head, degree key, and T5's 6+ swingarm.
We mostly drag at the 100 yards at Grain Valley, MO and at Waynoka.
I want to switch to alcohol and I can't decide what to go with. Everyone here swears by the FTZ (35.5 Mikuni) carbs, but I have also heard that the 34 HV Lectron carbs are good for alcohol. My cousin keeps on telling me that I will be laughed at if I get the lectron's and have problems, because no one knows anything about them out here. I would like to go with the lectron's because they seem like a better design and easier to tune (no jets) but like I said earlier...if there are any problems I would be working by myself to fix them.
They both cost about the same so that is not much of a factor. From what I have read it seems pretty easy to switch back and forth from gas to alky on the lectron's.
Tell me what you think of the lecton's if you have them. I have done numerous searches on the net about lectron's, but there doesn't seem to be very much info on them.
Thanks!
