Well , It accually depends on your credit so i cant really put specific terms on payment except the price per month. Well, i never considered cannondale ; the new cannibal is awsome! but i dont know if i could fit it into a deal. but i am in between those 2 (cannondale also if possible) . Oh , and to the dude who asked about why not own a raptor and a banshee , its cause he wants a retarded 4x4 atv , well not really retarded , but ya know , the kind old people drive and have racks and crap on em. and i dont know if its possible but this other dude , wanted to get into a deal for 3 (2 for us and 1 for him). But i dont know if they have a packages for 3 atvs. i am about 20% banshee and 80% raptor. Im not sure about getting a banshee cause i heard that 2 stroke off road vehicles will be outlawed or discontinued , and if that happens , it'll be hard to get parts for it. But if the cannondale can fit into it it would probably be 10% banshee 30% raptor and 60% cannondale. But doubt it can/will , so im not going to get my hopes up. Well thanks for the responses. c-ya

Ps: in my first post i said i dont like 4 strokes. I kinda misprased it , i just prefer 2 strokes more. but almost everyone i talk to says to get a 4 stroke.I kinda like 2 strokes because the sound is awsome and they can acelerate fast.once again thanks for all the tips and info. oh , and if anyone else replies , i just want to know what a top speed of a stock banshee is , i hear like 4 different things. Im pretty sure its around 65-75.cya

Andrew Thomas,
As far as the flavor of the month thing it looks to me like the Banshee has turned into the flavor of many years. Time will tell but I am willing to bet at least a two dollar bill that the Raptor will remain a favorite flavor too.

<< According to my handy dandy calculator. Interest on a $4,000 loan at 3 years is a total interest of $545. The same loan at 12% is $783. That loan at 14.5% would be even more. That's alot to me. >>

yeah andrew, it can be alot over the years but if you pay it off in a fraction of the time you are only paying a fraction of the interest that you would have payed. of course it would be less if the interest rate is lower but without owning my own home therefore not getting a great rate I'm not gone sweat over the $50-100 difference more I get with paying off way early. I've just totaled how much interest I will end up paying. Right now I'm paying $33 a month in interest at 14.9%, if I pay it off in a year I'm going to pay $400 in interest in 18 months $600,etc... It would be alot though if not payed early and it's a big check a month to do that.

Chet,
I really don't think the Raptor will remain a favorite in it's current form. The sport market was stagnet for a long time between '89 -'99. Hence the Banshee's reign. Since the 400EX was released every year the sport quad market booms & improves. The Raptor (or any quad for that matter) will need to be updated and/or phased out in favor a new quad just to remain competitive if the market continues to grow. Makes you wonder where quads will be in 5+ years. Even by then the C'dale may seem antiquated.

I think you are right on this one. But with the small production runs compared to cars I wonder how much change there really will be.

Who knows.... But the DS, Raptor & C'dale have only been out since 2000 & already all 3 have been updated! I wonder how long before before Honda steps up.

If Honda would have updated there 400EX with a reverse at the time I purchased the Raptor I would have been riding another Honda. Speed around here doesn't go for much in the tight spaces in the woods we have. Now reverse for me sometimes is such a great feature and the Raptor had it.

That's where Suzuki picked up the ball and started running with it in the version of the LTZ400. The atv market is growing but, the only regret I have towards atvs are they are no comparison with the two-strokes of yesterday in the form of sheer power & speed. Reigning quads that still hold the benchmark are; Kawasaki's 250 Tecate-4 & the ultimate Quadzilla500!!! If there is anyone who knows of anything faster than the two quads mentioned please inform me.

The Tecate-4 as an aura. Kinda like a Hemi-Cuda if you will....

<< Raptor makes you look cool when you really aren't. >>

Enough said, that's why they are called "me too" quads. The next Banshee.

On another note. Better read the small print on those 2 for one deals. Some have 12+% interest rates & some are over 4 year loans !!!! Be careful, you'll be stuck with that quad for a long time, paying way over double it's value with interest & term length.

"me too" quads, exactly. i love having the cannibal, all the billions of guys w/ 400exs and raptors stare as i go by.
