Hey! I have the choice between a Banshee or a Raptor , both new. I am leaning tward the banshee cause all ive heard is good remarks about it. But the raptor has a bigger engine and has more overall uses. I am probably going to do riding in feilds, some trail, and alot of just grass no big land formations or anything. Raptor looks bad , but i dont like 4 strokes. But the raptor has reverse and i kinda wanted that. I just dont know which one to get.

Well this kinda off the subject , but the deal i got for it is great. I get a choice of 2 raptors , banshee, or warior's. I might be able to get the other yamaha atv's also , but im still waiting for the email (grizzly , ect.). Guess how much? 150/month . We need 2 atv's cause we got 3 people who will ride , but we got a dirt bike so we all will have something to ride.

But anyways , i just want to know which one i should get.Oh , and no i cant get a raptor and a banshee cause i get to choose one and my other family member gets to choose one (other one is stuck with the old d-b, lol) and well i just wanted some thoughts on the subject , alright - cya.

Go with the 02 Raptor. Handles better every where on the trail, lots of low end power where most people spend most of the time. Power even in stock form is good. Raptor makes you look cool when you really aren't. Banshee looks like it wearing thick glasses, makes you look not so smart and not so cool. One thing cool on the Banshee is the scream it makes when it is going over 55 mph. Reverse on the Raptor is great but the 02's have a rev limiter. Yes, the Raptor is what you need. Think I will go sit on mine for the cool spot of the day.
Chet P.S. Just get both if you can and have the best of both worlds.

Enough said, that's why they are called "me too" quads. The next Banshee.

On another note. Better read the small print on those 2 for one deals. Some have 12+% interest rates & some are over 4 year loans !!!! Be careful, you'll be stuck with that quad for a long time, paying way over double it's value with interest & term length.

Andrew Thomas,
What is a "me too" quad ? Never heard of that brand. Is that one of those Taiwanese quads ?

If that is the interst rate it shouldn't be a deal breaker if they won't come down. I bought my Raptor with a sick interest rate of 14.9% over like 3 years cuz of my not so great credit. But the interest is not all up front which what you need to look for. I am doubling up on my payments and should have the raptor payed off in a year. Between 4% and 15% it's only a few extra bucks more to payoff in 12 months. Was worth it to me. But not if I paid it according to there schedule, it would be too much.

Anyway, snorfynortrox if a family member is getting the other one can't you both agree to get both and share? You two are not on talking terms or what? That would be sweet, have a banshee and a raptor! I wouldn't complain if I had to ride either one. But if you have to decide on one or the other you could flip a coin or search these forums and see which one suits your needs.

Chet,
A "me too" is the flavor of the month thing.

2fiftyX,
My brother & a friend checked on a 2 Raptors & trailer deal. It was like 12.9% for 10 years !!!!! Something crazy like that with a payment of just $119 a month. You can say you might pay it off in 2 years, but you gotta stay committed.
According to my handy dandy calculator. Interest on a $4,000 loan at 3 years is a total interest of $545. The same loan at 12% is $783. That loan at 14.5% would be even more. That's alot to me.
