Well my kodiak just started leaking antifreeze the other day so tonight I tore it apart. I haven't pulled the pump yet, seems like I remember something about problems with the 2000 kodiak water pumps and a weep hole or something?! I couldn't see any weep hole , it was dripping right off the very bottom of the pump. If I remember right they updated the waterpump for 2001 . Will this new pump fit my 2000 or should I just replace the seals and gasket? I have the service manual for it , and it looks like an easy job to change the pump.
Thanks for any help I get on this gotta get it fixed soon cuz the snow melted and I've got lots of mud to play in!!!

 

The new Kodiaks apparantly have a new and improved water pump. The part # is 5GH-12420-00-00 and it will fit your 2000 model.
