Wolverine unlocker?
#2
High Lifter will have its "Unlocker" for the Wolverine available in mid March. They should release the "Unlocker" for the Honda 450 and Rancher in early April.
The Unlocker is a driveshaft replacement that allows the shaft to dis-engage via a machanical lever. From all reports it should be a very reliable unit.
I have looked into the Big Bear diff swap, but I believe that the gear ratios are different and would cause the driveline to bind. Not to mention the cost. The Big Bear front diff from Yamaha is close to $800 and this is without the electric actuator, switches and wire harness. The Unlocker from High lifer will be under $350.
As it is, Yamaha has done great injustice to the almighty Wolverine by not equiping it with selctible 2x4/4x4 from the factory. At least options are finally becoming available.
