While your under there, you can also enable full time start in gear(without having to pull in brake lever)

Did you try unplugging the park-brake intrupter?

When you check your plug, what part of the plug are you looking at?

I really don't think it's a problem with the main jet size. If it were running lean and you gave it some choke you would notice a difference right away. Also I main jet that was a size or two too small would not cause any problems at 1/4 or 1/2 throttle.

Do you notice the problem mostly when accelerating under heavy throttle? Does it feel like it might be running out of gas? In that case it would most likely be a small bit of dirt in the main jet. That happens quite often with a Wolverine.

It is common knowledge that when you add a pipe, you must rejet. A pipe adds more airflow to the system, therefore, you must have more fuel.

lonestarbanshee, I agree with you totally that rejetting will almost always be needed to realize any performance gains when adding a performance pipe.

However, the jetting would have to be WAY off to have the kind of serious affect that this guy is talking about.

Plus, White Bros advertizes that rejetting is not necessary with their pipe on a stock motor. Whether you believe that or not is one thing, but you must agree that if WHite Bros do not recommend rejetting it's probable that jetting would not cause his bike to sputter at partial throttle positions.

I would agree with the bullet. If it was lean, it would have to be way off to cause the problems he's having. And if it is that lean, it would run bad all the time. Not running ok for a week then start having problems, or, run fine for an hour then start having problems. Jetting would improve the performance, but the lack of doing it would not cause the very poor running conditions he's having. I would still bet on dirt or something in the carb, is the problem. This is just one persons opinion, so take it for what it is!!

I agree with you guys on that aspect. However, if WB openly admits that no change in jetting is needed, there is no point in buying that pipe. The whole point of aftermarket exhaust is to up the air-flow, and to contradict that, fuel flow must be increased too, therefore; making more power.

Yea, I wonder why White Bros says that about their pipe. From everyting I've heard for people who have a White Bros pipe the performance gain is substantial, but like lonestarbanshee said, if a pipe doesn't require rejetting, can there really be that much of an improvement?
Food for thought.
