Hey Guys, I use PJ1 chain lube on my Raptor, well I've got it all over the rear sprocket, is there a way to clean off all the dirt that sticks to it? Soap and water doesn't cut it. I want to use an old paint brush and so kerosene (sp?)i'm just afraid it might eat the greese out of the rear bearings. What do you guys think? I don't plan on drowning it just using enough to get the job done.

Hey thanks, never thought about the filter cleaner will try it this afternoon, wouldn't have chainlube all over if I let it dry like they say but it seems like I always lube it while I'm letting it warm up no time to let it dry Gotta RIDE! Thanks for the help!

THE BEST LUBE FOR YOUR O-RING CHAIN IS CHAIN WAX, IT WORKS REAL WELL AND DOSENT FLY OF ALL OVER EVERYTHING, USE ENGINE DEGREASER, JUST KEEP THE ENGINE DEGREASER OFF YOUR CHIN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. ITS HARD ON O-RING CHAINS.

I have used the chain wax and I think it is a real mess. Hard to clean. I now use Silkolene. I have tried seveal things to clean the chain and the best I have found is charcoal lighter fluid. It is made from Naptha that some places us to clean parts and you can also find Naptha at paint stores. Have not noticed any deteriation of the O rings. Just get you a parts cleaning brush and have at it. Use soap after you have cleaned it. Let it dry and re-lube. I just wish there was an earier way of removing the chain without having to break it and use a master link. It seems like also I have or read of using diesel fuel to clean a chain.
