Thanks a bunch! I was lining it up on the first mark (as stated above, although I was on the compression stroke, I am sure this has a great deal do do with the ticking. So turning the ratchet counter clockwise, it is the 3rd mark? Just wanting to clarify. I am extremely happy that the quad starts right away, just gotta get the bugs out.

I did not notice a T on the flywheel.. The third mark correct? As far as Inch/Metric, the service manual has them both listed... I did use the inch variables, but used an inch feeler gauge. .004 for the Intake, and .006 for the exhaust I think. Did you split the tolerances in half to figure what gauge to use... or what? Probably going to redo them tommorow. Hoping it goes a bit smoother. Can you hear ANY ticking after the readjustment?
