My buddy and I tried and tried to get his spark arrester outof his new raptor and we could not. We followed what the manual said and the only thing we did to it was bend the **** out of it. we tried heating it up also. Any hints or tips on this?

I used a pair of vise grips I put them on as tight as i could and hit the side or the top part of the grips with a hammer so it was turning in a clock wise motion . You need to pull back as you hit the grips and mine came right out. I hope this helps.

jaredt00,
I used the screwdriver method when taking mine out just to see how it sounded and still messed it up a little. Took a screwdriver and hammer and went around outside edge. Looked like whoever put it in by the paint marks that it was not straight when they whacked it in so that made it harder to get out for me.
