If the California Raptor makes less hp, who (Yamaha or Dealer) did something to them for more smog control? Did they ship that way from the factory or is it something the dealer has to install once it gets there? Also can it be reversed? Has anyone ever compared the two side by side to see the differences?

 

its been a while but I had seen some posts early in the 01 generation that suggested there were both baffle and cdi changes I cant confirm any of it

 

As near as I can tell the only difference is the CDI box. 292$

 

Does anybody know the hp difference between a stock raptor bought on Cali. versus anywhere else?

 

I heard somewhere it is rumored to 33 hp for California and 37 hp else where.

Who makes the changes to the bike? Dealer or straight from factory?
