i just took the cover off and nothing really looks to be damaged. but this is my virgin eyes talking. i am not sure how the whole assembly works. so i am waiting for my clymer book to help me along.

if you didn't see my earlier post my clutch cable came off and now the clutch won't engage at all. and when i try to move the clutch lever on the case it only moves a 1/2 inch and the clutch still won't engage.

what should i be looking for?
the clutch doesn't appear to be ate up. and all the gears look fine. i am not sure what to look for now.

thanks for the help

ok i just went back to look at her again.
i took the outside of the clutch off. there is a little bolt in the center of the clutch that i broke off. it has a little ball in at one end and looks like there is another part to it broke off in there.
the basket (black thing around the outside of the cluch has 2 deep grooves cut into it all the way around.
should the whole clutch assembly spin freely when the clutch is engaged or just the center?
i am not sure how all this works.
the mailman didn't bring my clymer manual today so i am done until tomorrow.

what is the name of the little bolt i broke?
thanks
