Although I liked the article, I hate the fact taht suppoossed ATV magazines push this whole "people only go to Glamis to drink beer, party and sit around all day" Heres a quote from teh top of the article "If we were like those wacky Glamis visitors, we'd care more about how many six-packs of beer we had. But we're not. You see, we didn't make a trip to the sand capital of the world to drink beer. Instead, we wanted to eat sand. " What bull..

For some odd reason, maybe it is the course sand, but I run faster with my stockers in a drag race. This doesn't mean I don't like my paddles, I love them but that is just me.

Ward.

The trail techs you list on your mods. Would this be the speedo and does it list RPMs? TIA

Ward, Raptor720 has made the same comment about stockers. he has sand tires unlimited mini desert tracs (comp grooved) and claims 3 to 4 bike (maybe more) lengths benefit in a drag over any other paddles.

No I just got the generic Yamaha light bar clamp. This one doesn't have holes in it for the warning lights or the key. I got this one since I have already relocated them.

Blue Leader I don't really understand why this helps me so much, it might be because I keep up more RPMs when I start like this. It doesn't make much sense how a lighter tire with more traction could slow you down but it does me.

Some paddles dig too much, and the stockers in your case may allow you to get up on top of the sand and haul ***

the mini desert tracks (comp grooved) are shaved down for weight and the paddles are thin and short.

Try 12 paddle gliders in 20-10-8. The short soft paddles give more that the stiff ones, but still grip allowing for traction and RPM. The shorter padddles also last a lot longer. Try it, especially for 2 strokes where RPM is such a factor.
