should you be able the turn the back shock on the raptor i can grab it and turn the whole unit a little in both directions. it seems to me that there should be some rubber spacer where the mounting bolts are.

 

Never thought to grab mine and turn it. I would think that your rubber bushings and or bolts may be loose. You said you just bought your bike. I'd go through it and tighten everything to specs. Buying the service manual is worth the money. imo
