my buddy is lookin for a raptor. how much can you find a good, reliable stock raptor for??

 

I picked up a 02' Raptor about three weeks ago for 6,250.00 out the door. I called all over the state and that is about the best I found. I would also pay a little more for good customer support and service. that is what is really important to me.

 

A friend of mine bought an '01 about 3 weeks ago for $4000. All stock except for a DuraBlue axle.

 

hey matt, Where in the hell is kunkletown? Is that anywhere near williamsport. If so, we need to hook up and ride. About 12 of us are going up to Blossburg on sunday 3/17

 

If you shop around you can usually find good deals on used 01 Raptors. One of my road dogs picked one up for $5,000.00& it came with a +6 swing arm & a complete T-4 exhaust.

 

I'm not tying to steer you away from Raptors, but don't get a 2001. I don't know if all the trans. are bad, but you never know. velocityraptor, what exactly does "under cutting" the trans do? Oh yea there is a local dealer who has 2 '01 Raptors completely "diggered"(as they call it) for 6499 in the new Cycle Trader. Check your local trader for good deals.

Its where they cut down the dogs on your gears. Its a little hard to explain without drawing it out on paper. It helps compress your gears upon engagement. It keeps them from sliping as much.

 

hey guy's do you know WHY you can find cheap 01 raptor's everywhere. lol when you have to have those case's split and yamaha tell's you to kiss it when you want it done for free because of the known defect and factory enginnering it's not going to be a deal at all
