660 Belt
#5
Do not worry about the belt. I went EIGHT years on the original belt in my Trail Boss 250. It is a good idea to take off the cover and blow out the dust from the clutches once per year.

how do you plan to change a belt on the middle of the trail. it is possible but it would take a lot of tools and time. we cant wait for you when we go riding. we would be waiting longer for you than for Jerry.

trust me, on the grizzly, it might just be too much of an effort to even try to change the belt on a trail! just yesterday, i swamped mine, and filled the belt aria and clotch with mud and sand!! had to take off the footrest and side panels, and dismantle lots of other stuff, only to find i didn't have enough water to clean it all up, lol.

quadman,
i took off both pullies that the belt runs through, and cleaned it as good as new. now, i am going to put it back together, and dont know exactly where to grease it all at? also, the 2 shafts that come out that the chutch and other pully connect to the belt at, do i have to go into the engine area and clean it out to. or is that all, just the 2 pullied the belt attaches to? i have cleaned the **** out of them, so i guess it will be o.k.?
thanks.
