Wheeling on the Yamaha Raptor
#11
Well, i can tell you that i can wheelie without helping the bike at all in 3rd gear, 4th gear all you have to do is lean back a little. I have the e-series slip on, the dynojet kit and the k&n filter.
Compared to a raptor, a 400ex feels downright lethargic. It is very strange going from one to the other. You hit the gas on the 400 ex and it feels like nothing happens. The raptor wheelies MUCH easier than the 400ex.

I would like to set the record straight after my previous post. I just got done riding and the raptor pulls a wheelie easily in 3rd and in 4th with a good tug at the bars. I guess I just never payed attention to what gear I was in. Sorry for my ignorant post. I can't wait till I get a pipe and pull some 5th gear wheelies.

The question should be how ard s it to keep the front end down!
I've wheelied mine in 4th hitting the gas I gues I was to far back on the seat.
Still trying to break it in.
I felt it get some more power from when e picked her up .
As for hills I havn't had a problem but I havn't gone u anything big yet and they are sand so the tires probly spin.
