Yeah thats what I keep getting on all of these fourms is buy the ds650 Baja. Well even though I am big look at the DS 100+ Pounds more than any of the competition. I dont think I would be happy with a quad that big. I love to jump and throw quads around and compete with the smaller guys! thats why im getting one and not a bike. Granted I want to loose some weight its wont be 50 pounds. I want to hear from the guys big or small who own a Banshee or Cannible Z400 ect. Would you let your big boned/ beer gut friends ride it like they stole it or would you be worried? And why would you be worried? If you are big did you ever have any or see any problems with a Banshee getting up a steep hill or catching big air without bottoming out real bad? Thanks for your replies.

Dont listen to these guys. If you want the banshee get it. I had a 93 banshee and I am a big guy and loved it.

You have to get what you want. Dont listen to the mags, or other people. If you want a rippen two stroke then get it, because no 4 stroke has the thrill of the 2 stroke.

That is my 2 cents worth.

I ride a Banshee and am a pretty big guy and it is fine except for jumping. If you want to jump you WILL bottom out hard even on the stiffest settings. I do and I weigh 265 lbs. I don't jump much for that reason more than anything; it's too hard of a landing on the Banshee. I love my Banshee but honestly, I think a DS650 would be a good fit for you. I finally got a little more seat time on a DS this weekend and I REALLY liked. It's big, lots of suspension and reportedly very tough. They are both fast machines so you have to decide if you want a quick 2 stroke feel but less suspension and size or a strong 4 stroke with better size and suspension.

If thats the case I would just get new suspention. Then it would be a better feel than the DS rite? Works or something.

i don't exactly know what a shee can hold but i do know that i can't hold mine. i'm only 120 and its tried to throw me off a couple of times, thats why im tryin to get rid of it. i had it clocked at 103 with my little *** on it and it wasn't topped out. I know a shee could hold you and probably more! if your lookin for somthin you can't handle, give me a holler.

I had a Banshee in '91 before my Polaris days. The Banshee has "no" low end at all. You have a lot of weight to overcome to get moving. I weigh 230 and was constantly trying to get it to launch better. Two-into-1 pipe, 2-into-1 carb, etc., everything to try to get the low end improved. It was a waste of money as fas as the low end goes. Now for those weighting 175 or less, the Banshee is a rocket and would be a worthwhile investment. It's very poor low end torque is a real problem.

Personally, the Raptor or the DS650 would be a better fit. Don't discount the Raptor either. Lots, and lots of speed parts are available for this bike that should even haul your a$$ quite rapidly. The DS is great on top end, but that's about it. I'm not so sure how they would handle with your load on it. It would be a good idea to at least get a seat test to see which bike fits and feels good to your butt.

I've always thought the DS would be the bike for me, but that has changed.
