Being a two-stroke, it's more likely the piston is seized. This can happen if it's running lean. What's your altitude / set-up ?

Can ya get it in netral with the shifter ??

Yes it will go into nuetral using the shifter. I dont think that the piston seized because it had oil and was smoking when it happened.

If it goes into neutral and rolls and the kick-starter is still "stuck" then I'm affraid it probably piston related. I had a Blaster that I took to the dunes (sea level) without re-jetting and it siezed up due to a lean condition - It actually melted the front edge of the piston. It was running great until it just sorta quit - and then the kick-starter felt frozen. I hope it's something simple but I gotta gut feeling.....maybe i'm wrong. Please let me know what you find out. It's not real expensive to fix the top-end on a stock Blaster if you can do the work yourself.

Take care, Eric

Could be the dreaded "oil pump failure". It sounds like the motor siezed on you. Hope not, but that is what it sounds like. Blasters are very well known for this due to the oil pump drive gear being plastic, and the teeth are not hard to strip. If you have to go in the motor, I would remove the oil pump, install a block-off plate, and start pre-mixing fuel.

Hey guys good news. I took the cover off and found that the kick clip on the kick start shaft had broken off and jammed in one of the gears, thats what was keeping it from turning over. I can turn the engine over by hand so the piston is good thankfully. I have the new clip and new gaskets, i just wanted to know if i have to buy a block off kit or can i just make my own and what mix ratio should i use? thanks.

Good news - glad to hear it's not siezed !! Never done the block-off so I can't help but it sounds like a good idea.

Yes you can make your own block off plate....I made mine... Just use your old gasket as a pattern, and use a good sealant on the plate. Be sure when you make the plate that it is good and flat. I used aluminum, but anything would work. As far as jetting goes, jet up a couple of mains and start there. If it runs good, go up a couple more on the mains, when it starts missing on the top end, start down one jet at a time, until it runs clean. Then, If everything was right to start with...Pilot, float setting, needle, etc., Then you should be good to go...E-Mail me if I can Help in any matter..Hope this helps

Well im not buying the block off kit. I just took the nylon gear off the oil pump and left the pump there to act as a block off itself, looks to be okay so far.

The same thing happened to my old blaster (I thought it was siezed too)!!! I was just about to tell you to check that, but I see you already found the problem. That must be a weak link in blasters.
